June 2008 NEJAC Public Meeting

The 2008 National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC) Public Meeting will hold its next meeting from June 10 through 12, 2008 in Washington, DC at the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill.

The NEJAC encourages all attendees to pre-register for the meeting. By pre-registering to attend, you will be guaranteed to receive meeting materials onsite as well as be notified of any changes related to the meeting in advance.

Pre-registration will be available through May 27, 2008. After May 27, 2008, you will be able to register for the meeting onsite.

A public comment period will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sign up for the public comment period is open through May 27, 2008.  After that date, you may sign up for public comment at the meeting.  To sign up for the public comment period, please complete the pre-registration process.

If you plan to speak during the public comment period, the members of the NEJAC encourage you to submit background materials or your written statement ahead of time.

A limited-size room block has been reserved at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, DC.  Please make your hotel reservations by calling the Washington Court Hotel at (202)638-2100 or (800)321-3010 before May 19, 2008.  Be sure to mention that you are attending the EPA NEJAC meeting.  Please reserve your hotel room as early as possible to be guaranteed a room reservation at the meeting rate of $251 per night plus taxes (14.5% DC tax).  Note that this rate is 25% above the prevailing government rate.
